Like the Kevin Bacon game - you're only a few degrees away from someone who has been involved in a drunk driving accident. This rings true for me - I was a victim back in 2006.
While reading some interesting stats here I quickly realized the magnitude of the situation.
To continue my learning and hopefully raise a bit of awareness (and scare the crap out of my kids :-)), I created this viz, which paints a very bleak picture.

Don't drink and drive!
It's a sad thing, but it's true. DUI-related accidents on the news are still rising these days. But with these statistics, I hope everyone will see how dangerous it could really be when they drink and drive. It's not bad to have a drink with friends and colleagues from time to time, but people should be responsible enough when they do. Thanks for sharing!
